They also tolerated 0.3% bile salt for 24 hours, showed inhibitory effects against several foodborne pathogenic bacteria, and all were susceptible to ampicillin, tetracycline, and erythromycin; the most potent isolates were resistant to kanamycin. Genomic analysis predicted two class II bacteriocins across all seven strains, and no putative virulence factors or resistance determinants were found.
